JOB TITLE: Principal Software Engineer

JOB LOCATION: 208 S Akard St, Dallas, TX 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]

DUTIES: Deliver innovative and reliable technology solutions to power different and simplified customer experiences. Collaborate with other members of the Engineering, User Experience and DevOps teams to develop order management domain applications. Utilize engineering practices, standards, architectural approaches and complex technical resolutions for processes. Work with User Experience (UX) engineers and graphic designers to create and implement web user interface elements that adhere to User Experience (UX) pattern library. Translate User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) wireframes to visual elements. Utilize Java and Spring boot framework. Utilize microservice based architecture, REST services, Cassandra, Redis Splunk, Grafana, Git, Jira and APIGEE. Use cloud technologies, AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes. Utilize CICD technologies, GitHub, Maven, and Jenkins. Utilize Junit, Mockito, JMock, SoapUI, and Postman. Utilize HTML5, JavaScript frameworks, React, and CSS3. Lead software projects over multiple releases covering all stages of the product and service. Work and collaborate in coding environment, code reviews, and refining designs. Architect and develop distributed systems based on microservice architecture. Build and custom REST APIs. Work with Agile development practices including unit tests and code reviews. Design asynchronous messaging using Apache Kafka to exchange critical business data and events among different client systems and applications. Use SonarQube to check for violations in code and fix them. Design and develop Microservices business components using Spring Boot and RESTful where data is transformed into JSON format. Working in the DevOps environment: Deploy microservice through Docker containers and Kubernetes. Involved in problem rectification, fixing bugs for each release in UAT, production and QA environments and providing support to end users. Use Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) efforts to ensure that deliverables are secure, scalable and reliable. Implement key architecture and infrastructure decisions. Representing team in requirement, estimation and grooming sessions, scrum and status meetings. Updating and tracking status of deliverables and defects in TDP, Rally, iTrack, and Jira. Included in all the phases of Software Development Life Cycle including analysis, design, development, integration and implementation. Experience and proficiency to map customer needs with the right technology and coordinate Proof of Concept (POC) pertaining to those needs. Identifying unique combination of solutions and technologies to meet ever-changing and complex customer needs. Expertise in Content Management system on IBM Web Content Management (WCM), Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Involved in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Use different version control, track SVN and GIT. Manage source code with Subversion (SVN) and make use of Jenkins, a continuous integration and continuous deployment tool for deploying code to production environment. Deploying applications to DEV,UAT Servers daily using Jenkins build and automated deployments. Plan in advance and complete compliance checks and job related trainings in order to maximize the team's productivity. Work with all phases of the software development life cycle, best practices, and agile software development.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Electronic Engineering, or Computer Science, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation working with all phases of the software development life cycle, best practices, and agile software development; utilizing Java and Springboot framework; utilizing microservice based architecture, REST services, Cassandra, Redis Splunk, Grafana, Git, Jira and APIGEE; using cloud technologies, AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes; utilizing CICD technologies, GitHub, Maven, and Jenkins; utilizing Junit, Mockito, JMock, SoapUI, and Postman; utilizing HTML5, JavaScript frameworks, React, and CSS3; leading software projects over multiple releases covering all stages of the product and service; and working and collaborating in coding environment, code reviews, and refining designs.
