Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Fast-paced, high volume emergency department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full Time Nights (7P-7A) for 36 hrs/week. Weekend and holiday requirements

Emergency Department highlights:

· Fast-Paced, high-volume department averaging 200 patients/day

Here’s What You Need:

· Diploma Nurse or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required.

· BSN preferred

· One year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.

· One year of emergency department experience in a hospital setting as a staff RN strongly preferred.

· RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care.

What You Will Do:

· Basic Human Needs - Responds to others' priorities regarding safety, physical, physical, psychological and social needs.

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Demonstrates knowledge of patient rights and incorporating into daily practice

· Mutual Problem Solving - Professional behaviors that help patients and families understand how to confront, learn about, and think about their health and illness.

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
