Description Staff Accountant candidates will be interested in Robert Half's full-time opportunity with an innovative Hospitality company. This Staff Accountant position is for candidates who can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. In this role, you will perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. This Dallas, Texas area-based position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. How you will make an impact

• Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

• Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

• Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

• Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

• Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

• Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

• Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Take part in various department-wide initiatives

• Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

• Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

• Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

• Efficient in ERP systems

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• experienced organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines

• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

• Solid understanding of month end closings

• Proficiency in Full Cycle Accounting
