This Dallas, Texas area-based position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. If you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close, you will be preferred for this position. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. You will be preferred for this role if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

• Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

• Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

• In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

• Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

• Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

• Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

• Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

• Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledger

Requirements - Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

• Skilled with ERP systems

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

• Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Full Cycle Accounting

• Sales tax experience

• Auditing experience required

• Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings

• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

• Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills

• High attention to detail

• 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
