Summary

The Technician Service and Systems is responsible for the repair of damaged equipment and the construction/retrofit of equipment racks and packages for the purpose of flawless execution of events. This position requires keen electronics understanding and an ability to make component level repairs.

This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of Dallas, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prioritize, troubleshoot, align and repair audio/visual rental equipment bringing them back into serviceable and cosmetic condition.

  • Communicate with equipment manufactures for technical assistance, repairs and parts.

  • Input repair and purchase order detail in the Freeman AV database.

  • Refurbish equipment that is not in good cosmetic condition by cleaning, painting and replacing missing parts.

  • Assist technicians with on-site troubleshooting.

  • Order parts for Repair Department, Quality Control Department and other departments as required.

  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

  • 1 year experience repairing audio visual equipment preferred.

  • Understanding of safety procedures when handling and moving of equipment.
