Facility:Dayton Children's - South CampusDepartment:Urgent Care - South CampusSchedule:Part timeHours:18Job Details:The Urgent Care Nurse provides professional nursing care outlined by the American Nurses Association and the Ohio Board of Nursing. The nurse interacts with an interdisciplinary team to promote the optimal health potential of the patient and family, delivering competent nursing care based on a documented assessment of the patient/family needs and the hospital mission. The nurse promotes a patient and family experience-oriented environment and acts as a change agent to meet the rapidly changing census and needs of all customers-both internal and external.

Department Specific Job Details:

Dayton Children's urgent care centers are the only urgent care centers in the Dayton region that are fully staffed by board certified pediatricians, pediatric trained nurse practitioners and pediatric registered nurses. Our urgent care centers compliment your child's doctor by offering care when the doctor's office typically is closed. Our staff provide treatment for minor illnesses and injuries for children from birth to 21 years of age.

PART TIME M-F 12p-9p, Sat-Sun 11a-8p

Education:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing with a commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required

Experience:

  • 1-3 years experience as an RN is preferred

    Certification/Licensure:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license in the State of Ohio is required

  • CPR is required
