Summary The Senior Accountant will act as a strong support to senior level team members by contributing to maintaining the books and records of the Company through booking more complex journal entries, generating reporting, and preparing various account reconciliations and schedules to ensure accurate financial reporting. This role will specifically be responsible for overseeing and completing the inventory close process, including preparing account reconciliations as well as partnering with the FP&A -- Supply Chain Team to provide information necessary to perform various inventory analysis.

Responsibilities Work cross functionally with FP&A, DC and Retail Operations, and Planning to maintain general ledger accounts for all inventory activities Lead and oversee the monthly inventory close process, including preparing and reviewing various inventory account reconciliations, including raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods inventory Responsible for reconciling 4 wall WM inventory management system to the SAP general ledger, including investigation of inventory adjustments across all distribution centers and manufacturing locations Prepare inventory reserve analysis including, but not limited to, obsolete inventory, shrinkage, and LIFO reserves Assist with physical inventory counts from an accounting perspective to ensure complete, accurate counts that meet all audit requirements and are in accordance with GAAP. This includes partnering with procurement, planning, IT, and DC operations to analyze results of the counts, identify key areas of opportunities and develop innovative solutions to continually improve the process and ensure the highest level of accuracy possible. Post monthly journal entries including recurring entries, accruals, re-classes, and various other postings required on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis? Prepare?account reconciliations and supporting schedules for the month end close, annual corporate financial audit, and benefit plan audits? Assist with the coordination of the annual corporate financial statement audit Assist with accounting research by compiling data, preparing schedules, and summarizing findings as needed Prepare and analyze various financial calculations and schedules Document processes and identify opportunities for process improvements Assist in special projects as needed
Education Bachelor's Degree Required in Accounting/Finance or Related Field
Required Skills and Experience Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance At least 3 or more years of successful experience leading and managing multiple projects Certified Public Accountant preferred Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel; Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint SAP experience preferred Analytical and accounting research skills Ability to manage multiple projects Experience in a deadline driven environment E
