Job Summary:

Commercial Finance Business Unit leader who directly manages the day-to-day operations of Store operations including Store Performance for the Chain, Rent and Real Estate, and Property Strategy including Location Optimization. Primary Finance Business partner for Store Management and the group Finance Officer. Responsible for managing a number of highly complex areas such as development of financial forecasts, complex business case development, and decision support for resource allocation. Provides advanced subject matter expertise and guidance regarding all finance related decisions. Manages the execution and tracking of a number of highly complex programs that drive growth in the business. Provides guidance and counsel in development of long-range plans involving strategy development, and timelines and financial outcomes. The area supported and financial analysis results in significant impact to the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the development of highly complex and intricate financial forecasts and resource allocation plans in support of division goals for a division with significant scope and a high level of business complexity.

  • Partners with finance leadership team and business leaders to understand and frame critical issues and drive key decisions.

  • Develops business cases and financial models to drive a market optimization process that will result in mapping the future fleet footprint. This process will contemplate market and competitive dynamics, internal financial performance, existing and future go-to-market strategies and capabilities, and new formats to drive decisions that will grow Rx market share and increase FCF.

  • Develop business cases and financial models for new format development that will drive the creation of a strong portfolio of formats that enable the company’s strategy and create shareholder value.

  • Clearly communicates results and recommendations to all levels of the leadership team, in a structured manner.

  • Provides advanced subject matter expertise and guidance regarding all finance related decisions for a division with significant scope and a high level of business complexity.

  • Provides advanced guidance and counsel in development of long-range plans involving strategy development, resource allocation, work plans and timelines and financial outcomes for a division with significant scope and a high level of business complexity.

  • Builds trust through fact-based insights and a true understanding of the business and relevant issues.

  • Manages the development of highly complex and intricate financial models, forecasts, proposals, presentations and performance measures to provide confidence to executives regarding financial decisions for a division with significant scope and a high level of business complexity.

  • Builds and develops a high performing team with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

External Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor and at least 8 years of experience in Analytical role in finance, accounting, business management, quantitative analysis or economics OR High School/GED degree and at least 11 years of experience in Analytical role in finance, accounting, business management, quantitative analysis or economics.

  • At least 3 year's experience participating or leading financial forecasting, budgeting, and financial model development processes.

  • At least 3 year's experience developing justifications for capital expenditures and/or other major decisions.

  • Experience with GAAP and financial statement analysis.

  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).

  • At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.

  • At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.

  • Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or MBA

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Preferred certification in Public Accounting as granted by state Accounting Board.

  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).

  • Advanced level skill with data and analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, APT, etc.

  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).

  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
