DaVita's well-regarded law department counsels all aspects of the company and provides legal support for all of the company's transactions. The attorneys are integral strategic business partners that work closely with each other and senior management on a daily basis.

The Senior Corporate Counsel, Commercial Contracting, will serve as a lead attorney drafting and negotiating a broad range of complex technology supplier contracts for use in a healthcare services environment. The Senior Corporate Counsel will provide advice, guidance and strategic counsel to senior management and a wide variety of clients in a regulated environment.

Duties and Responsibilities: *Drive technology transactions, including negotiating and drafting cloud computing, software licensing, IT professional services, and other IT-related supplier agreements. *Facilitate the coordination of input from various subject matter experts throughout the negotiation process. *Provide strategic advice and guidance to internal business teams regarding legal and business risks. *Develop and effectively articulate creative solutions and/or mitigation strategies for key negotiation points. *Establish and maintain relationships with internal business clients and colleagues. *Assist in process improvement and establishment of best demonstrated practices for all aspects of commercial contracting. *Participate in various other projects and work streams, as assigned. *Some travel may be required.

Qualifications: *J.D. degree and a minimum of six years of legal experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. *In-house experience preferred, but not necessary. *Experience drafting, interpreting and negotiating technology agreements preferred. *General understanding of relevant healthcare compliance issues (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA) preferred. *State bar passage and good standing. *Strong written and oral communication skills.
