The Department of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences has an opening for a temporary, non-tenure track, part-time lecturer to teach mathematics courses.

The appointment is for one semester, with the possibility of renewal for future semesters. The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences is housed on the Auraria campus in the heart of Denver's commercial, cultural, and recreational district. Its location in downtown Denver attracts a diverse population, comprising both traditional and non-traditional students. Salary and Benefits:

The hiring rate (or budgeted rate) for this position has been established at $1,559 per credit hour (lower division), $1,645 per credit hour (upper division), or $1,808 per credit hour (graduate level).

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

An earned master's degree in the mathematical sciences from an accredited university; OR a Master's degree in any area and 18 credit hours of graduate-level course work in the Mathematical Sciences.

Desired Qualifications:

A record of successful teaching at the secondary or college level.
