Intel LTD RET Software Research Engineer/Scientist in Denver, Colorado

Job Description

Intel is hiring a motivated RET Software Research Engineer/Scientist. This position is in the Logic Technology Development (LTD) team, working with one of the most advanced semiconductor development facilities in the world.

The LTD Resolution Enhancement Technology (RET) team is extending the limits of feature sizes that are patternable on Intel's devices, using current and future lithography manufacturing tooling. The team works closely with fab integrated lithography process and mask manufacturing teams using computational lithography tooling to optimize mask patterns and maximize manufacturing process capability. The RET team also works closely with the design rule definition teams, using lithography and patterning simulation capabilities to determine design rules for future Intel process nodes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) simulations.

  • Image processing and statistical analysis of data for OPC models.

  • OPC model calibration

  • OPC recipe code optimization and validation.

  • Algorithmic design pattern layout manipulation.

  • Support of production mask tapeout and RET validation.

  • Creation of technical documentation and presentations.

  • Clearly and effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) with a variety of engineers working on multiple projects.

  • Utilize technical knowledge to independently identify, analyze and solve technical problems.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

You must possess the minimum qualifications below to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/ experimental research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess a B.S. degree in an engineering or core science discipline (Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, etc.).

  • Candidates must have at least one of the following qualifications:

  • Proficiency in a programming (e.g. C++) or scripting (e.g. Python) language

  • Experience in a Linux computing environment.

  • Experience in statistical data analysis.

  • Candidates must start within 6 months after accepting the offer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor processing.

  • Experience in numerical modeling.

  • Experience in numerical optimization.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $74,333.00-$111,401.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
