The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a(n) Clinical Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Deliver increased revenue by increasing market share at existing accounts and executing on strategic sales initiatives.

  • Retain/recapture large revenue base by delivering the clinical value of remaining with Vyaire.

  • Pre-evaluation, evaluation, and post evaluation, ensuring that conversions stick.

  • Be a resource for R&D and Marketing during special projects, VOC, and being the leading voice to our customers (internal and external) for new products and technology.

  • Functioning as an extension of Learning and Development through participation in national field and classroom training of new sales consultants. Establish the One Vyaire story with cross functional clinical resources at all customer engagements.

  • Implement and execute sales strategies developed by the leadership team by providing product introductions/overviews and in-services for customers during the commercialization of products.

  • Recommend changes in the platform technology, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments in order to expand Vyaire Medical’s business.

  • Gather current marketplace information on pricing existing and new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.

  • Work daily to build relationships with multiple customers within an account and keep them informed of status of the product.

  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to leadership.

  • Participate in professional society meetings/trade shows, which promote Vyaire Medical’s products and support activities where appropriate, related to clinical trials.

  • Maintain and increase professional and technical knowledge by on-the-job training, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Ensure good communication is established within and across functional groups. Communicate information related to quality management system efficiency.

  • Directly support the timely and quality sale, installation, and monitoring of medical device products and services by building high impact presentation modules with value-based messaging focused across the Vyaire portfolio.

  • Participate in pre-sales support, assessment, and evaluation of new products and services; make recommendations to drive client acceptance and utilization of new medical devices. Facilitate UPE’s for new products.

  • Develop, plan, and manage client in-service and training programs; provide product and service education to staff at hospitals to facilitate technology adoption and workflow change management using clinical education and training, products and services.

  • Manage client assessments for quality care and assist in developing plans for customer process standardization.

  • Perform time studies to capture value-based quality metrics and benchmarking medication delivery product vs. current product.

Essential Function Requirements:

Credentialing: Employee shall secure and maintain the credentials required by Vyaire Medical and its customers. Securing those credentials may require mandatory vaccinations and other tests. (If employee is unwilling or unable to comply with any credentialing requirement because of religious or health/medical/disability related restrictions, employee must immediately notify Vyaire Medical’s Human Resources Department to discuss possible reasonable accommodations regarding those restrictions.)

Travel: Up to 80% of the time

Driving: Valid driver’s license and clean driving history

Location: Refer to active requisition

Physical Demand: Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs. without limitations or constraints

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Vyaire is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience as a respiratory therapist or critical care nurse required

  • Ability to meet requirements in vendor credentialing services, e.g. Reptrax, Vendormate, etc.

  • Ability to develop positive relationships with key opinion leaders.

  • Strong leadership, team building, negotiation and execution skills in a selling environment.

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Understanding of Health Care Reform including reimbursement pathway

  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist Required

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Ability to travel to customer facilities on a regular basis throughout the assigned territory, with trips by air or car 70% of the time.

  • Proficiency in using Outlook, WebEx, SFDC, PP, Excel, Skype for business preferred

  • Strong presence, presentation and communication skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and position company and products for success.

  • Must be highly organized and able to implement tactics in a timely manner.
