CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for a Network Engineer to support the Federal Protective Service (FPS) located at Denver MegaCenter.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Responsible for the implementation, deployment, and maintenance of networks for a federal government customer's distributed enterprise network environment supporting voice, data, and video services.

  • Establish networking environment by managing system configuration, installing systems, documenting system architecture, and adhering to network standards.

  • Provide detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

  • Configure, install, troubleshoot various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN), LAN, and WAN.

  • Analyze user’s Information Technology (IT) requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures.

  • Validate system requirements and provide recommendations.

  • Advise senior level customers on network architecture and optimization.

More About the Role:

  • Implement and maintain an enterprise network environment to include Cisco routers, Cisco & Dell switches (Multi-Layer, Data Center/ Access/Core/ Distribution), Fortinet firewalls and Software defined access

  • Conduct testing of network systems. Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; responding to and troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; conducting equipment refreshes; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.

  • Utilize monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems, assess network performance, and trace data and protocol activity.

  • Track all work activities in Service Now.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance

  • Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred

  • BA/BS + 8 years of applicable experience or 14 years without degree

  • Windows Server administration

  • Cloud network or architecture experience (E.g., Nutanix, AWS, Azure, Google, etc.)

  • Experience with systems and network monitoring tools

  • One of the following certifications:

  • CompTIA Network+ CCNA

Ideal Qualifications Nice to Have:

  • Security+ CCNP Security

  • Previous experience working on physical and logical network infrastructure installation or deployment/refresh projects

  • Experience with making configuration changes on switches, routers, and firewalls

  • Experience gathering technical and business customer requirements

  • Strong networking background to be able to troubleshoot complex network issues

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally with senior customers to field and troubleshooting questions and issues

  • SolarWinds network management

  • Experience with Network Packet Brokers

  • Experience with wireless services

  • Implementation of New Generation Firewalls

  • Previous DHS or DoD experience

  • Experience with well-architected design principles for network Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Operational Excellence, and Cost Optimization

  • Implementation of Network KPIs and Dashboards for measuring, assessing, and reporting the quality, health, and capability of the network

  • Experience with Software Defined Networks

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200 - 158,100 USD
