H&H Principal Bridge Engineer- West District in Denver, Colorado

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Principal Bridge Engineer-West District in our Denver Area office.

Responsibilities

  • Structural technical lead on major bridges and structures projects

  • Lead production of structures plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, technical reports, and other contract documents

  • Lead structural engineering analysis and design, utilizing latest structural engineering analysis and design software, as well as traditional structural engineering methods

  • Oversee structural engineering staff and provide mentorship and technical leadership

  • Occasional field site visits and client meetings

  • Work with internal project leadership to set delivery schedules and project budgets for bridges and structures work

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering required; MS (preferred)

  • PE License required (CO, OR, WA, and/or CA preferred)

  • 10+ years of structural engineering experience, with preferred emphasis on bridge and highway structure design

  • Proficiency with current AASHTO design specifications

  • Bridge rating experience and/or inspection experience is a plus

  • Experienced project leadership on bridges and structures projects

  • Experience in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD; experience with current bridge design and FEM software, including Bentley OpenBridge (preferred)

  • Experience with local client base (preferred)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Benefits

Salary range — $135,000- $185,000 annually. Salary commensurate with experience.
