Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

As a Civil Engineer, you will work closely under project managers to produce commercial site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D. You will be involved in subdivision design and may visit job sites to ensure construction matches design while consulting with clients. You will likely be working on multiple projects simultaneously, each of which could be in different phases and typically last 1-2 weeks. Your role includes some client interaction and working with city and government organizations to gather information important for design. You will be involved in the process from initial surveying to final stages of permitting, which could take 2-3 months for small projects and 4-5 months for large project completion.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Urbandale, Iowa or Iowa City, Iowa.

he work environment promotes a balance of intensity and energy to meet project deadlines along with a laid-back atmosphere. They have golf outings, a ping pong table in the office and a high focus on teamwork. You will primarily be office-based but have the freedom to visit the site if necessary.
