Ally Bank seeks a Sr. Engineer - Systems Engineer in Detroit, MI.

Be liaison between multiple technical teams and enterprise DevOps for releasing enterprise software. Be available to involve in triaging and tracing high priority and performance degrading Production incidents on a 24×7 basis and provide root-cause analysis. Summarily lead DevOps workflows of very large-scale enterprise applications that are customer facing nationwide. Develop CI/CD workflows to enable coordination between cross functional applications. Analyze the functionalities and devise deployment strategy to contain releases within predetermined risk appetite. Evaluate and alleviate risk which can be inherent in executing heavily interdependent DevOps processes. Collaborate with multiple on-site squads to architect deployments to be streamlined as per case-by-case analyses of various workflows. Orchestrate deployments according to strategically organized runbooks. Calibrate probability of plausible issues that may occur and communicate it with enterprise leadership. Foresee potential impediments and table contingent solutions in discussions with leadership. Be prepared with modularly redundant solutions at the time of releasing functionalities to business. Design and develop pipeline workflows that can affect certain KPIs for better functional delivery. Provide security and disaster recovery strategies to various teams. Configure, implement, and tune-technology- solutions to meet business and technical requirements on designated projects. Monitor and tune dashboards for ease of investigating and maintaining application health. Create technical documentation to ensure effective operations/support of infrastructure solutions. Support/Perform change requests as required for hardware upgrades, additions, configuration changes, etc. with proactive co-ordination with vendors and Ally stakeholders. Comply with Change Management, Release Management, IT Risk -- Compliance processes and standards. Assist with operations and production coverage; provide 1st and 2nd level support for technical area of responsibility. May telecommute. 

Requires: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or closely related field. 3 years of experience in job offered or similar, and requires 3 years of experience with the following (which may have been gained concurrently): Develops processes; Deploying code and managing releases using a CI/CD pipeline; Private cloud technology including OpenShift; and Database and data query.
