Position Details
FINANCIAL REPORTING SUPERVISOR is responsible for the accounting functions of the organization in accordance with the organization's Financial Policies and Procedures. Ensures appropriate internal controls are in place to protect organization assets, and produce timely and accurate financial information for internal and external users.

This exempt position has a base annual salary range between $70,444 to $94,104.

Supervises the accounting functions of the organization in accordance with the organization's Financial Policies and Procedures. Ensures appropriate internal controls are in place to protect organization assets, and produce timely and accurate financial information for internal and external users.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, organization policies and other regulatory requirements.
Reconcile accounts and variances, including intercompany transactions.
Oversee the month end closing process including coordinating all entries from Finance staff to ensure they are complete and accurate.
Prepare the monthly financial statements.
Organize and maintain documentation supporting general ledger balances that meet the requirements of external auditors.
Maintain internal controls around cash, including positive pay, EFTs and deposits.
Review and approve daily cash reports, monthly cash reports and bank reconciliations .
Ensure compliance with written operational and financial policies and procedures to assure continuous quality improvement, internal control, and that the department standards are met.
Lead, motivates, mentor and hold accountable staff. Provide guidance and training to staff to ensure that they understand goals, staffing plans and job responsibilities.
Analyze financial information; provide recommendations and solutions to Manager, Financial Reporting to improve workflow processes and meet department and organizational objectives.
Review monthly reconciliations and other work prepared by direct reports and other staff.
Assist the Director, Finance and Manager, Financial Reporting with various projects.
Job Qualifications
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred.
Experience
4+ years of accounting experience.
Supervisory experience, preferred.
Non-profit experience, preferred.
