What You’ll Get to Do:

As the CACI Operational Advantage (OA) Functional Group Lead, you will manage a portfolio of technical direction letters/projects with contracted solutions that support the accomplishment of US Southern Command’s mission.

More About the Role:

You will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of projects related to USSOUTHCOM’s Operations in its Area of Responsibility, Security Cooperation/Assistance/Training with foreign partners, and the Exercising of SOUTHCOM’s capabilities and those of its Components and Partners.

Specific Duties include:

  • Promoting collaboration and integration across the SOUTHCOM Enterprise to drive efficiencies and ensure the command is postured to achieve its priorities and objectives.

  • Monthly reporting on technical and financial performance according to project parameters and against a set of government-established assessment criteria.

  • Establishing working relationships with government or military customers and ensuring there is transparency in expenditures, requirement execution and future work.

  • Hiring employees who can technically perform their function, have the right motivations to do the work and who will fit both the CACI ethos and within the organization in which they will work.

  • Seeking on-contract growth through the expansion of existing projects or the creation of new ones.

  • Traveling to the SOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility, if required, to coordinate operations, activities and/or investments.

  • Approving travel authorization requests, requests to initiate purchases, extended work hours, expenditures for vendors, pay actions.

  • Counseling employees on performance and future career aspirations.

  • Exhibiting leadership over these projects through the training, coaching, and mentoring of individuals and selected Team Leaders.

  • Supporting the Program Manager, as required.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Current Top Secret/Specialized Compartmented Information Security Clearance.

  • A combination of more than 20 years of experience working on Operations, Security Cooperation/Assistance/Training, and Exercises on high level staffs to include, but not exclusively, the Joint Staff/OSD, Combatant Commands, Service Staffs, Defense Agencies, the State Department, and/or Embassy Country Teams.

  • The ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

  • Master’s degree in a related discipline.

  • A current Tourist Passport with an expiration date more than 6 months away

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • A 2/2/2 DLPT level in Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, or other critical language in the AOR

  • A Project Management Professional certification

  • A fundamental understanding of the Joint Planning Process and other military or government methodologies.

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$86,800-$191,000
