Stantec is currently looking for an Architectural BIM Technician to join our dynamic team and support a large office building complex projects. This project will have related functional and supporting facility buildings in Dubai.

As Architectural BIM Technician, you will be responsible / involved in:

•Attention to detail in terms of technical - be able to check and correct drawings prepared by other team members (BIM Modeler)

•Perform detailed models review to meet LOD 200, 300, 350 requirements.

•Perform BIM QA/QC process based on agreed checklists and standards.

•Play key role in Discipline drawings review based on approved BIM model.

•Assist the discipline engineer in BIM model information extraction including sketches, schedules, etc.…

•Experienced with BIM modeling activities of all Building Services requirements respecting internal process, project standards and industry best practices.

•Experienced with Revit project environment setup with respect to the Project BEP.

•Works under the direct supervision of the BIM Manager, Sr. A/E BIM Coordinator and is responsible for all the production and drafting tasks directly assigned to them by the BIM Manager or Discipline Manager.

•Providing a multi-disciplinary modeling assistance for the project team as assigned.

•Completing tasks within timelines and budgets respecting the team look ahead plans.

• Monitors project progress by regularly monitoring project outputs to ensure project delivery, fee budgets and time frames are met.

Initiative and General:

•Takes part in team meetings/activities to discuss ways to achieve better results.

• Applies technical tools and guidelines to all tasks.

•Strives to learn and promote new BIM authoring techniques that enhance efficiency and productivity.

• Attends training, lectures, and undertakes private research and reading into current technical literature.

• Responds appropriately to performance feedback.

Title:

Architectural BIM Technician

Qualifications:

• 5+ Years of experience working within an architectural, engineering, consulting organization.

• Preferably 3+ years local experience in UAE.

• Certificate/Degree in Engineering or Diploma in BIM/Draftsmanship from an accredited university or technical board.

• Proven track record of experience with BIM authoring (including Revit) and proper modeling/drafting methods and techniques.

• Proven thorough knowledge of BIM delivery process.

• Ability to explore, verify, and review BIM modelling progress based on delivery schedule.

• Understand the requirements for all LOD requirements.

• Contractor BIM experience is desired but not essential.

• Advanced Software skills of AutoDesk suite: Revit, Navis Works, Auto Cad.

• Understanding of multidisciplinary coordination through good design practice.

• Knowledge of design review and coordination software such as Navisworks.

• Working knowledge of MS Office programs.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

• Good communication skills with competency in English.

• Complete other related tasks as expected of a BIM technologist of the above-indicated capacity.

• With RIBA/ AIA/ SOE is a plus.
