About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager - Finance to join Jumeirah Group & Corporate .

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

Statutory Reporting & Tax Compliance:

  • Assist in the preparation of reporting for statutory purposes for all legal entities under JH&R.

  • Assist in the preparation of consolidation models/workings of all statutory levels of consolidation.

  • Assist in the Management of books and records of overseas entities and holding company entities via review of balance sheet reconciliations and monitoring adherence to budget as well as review accuracy of accounting carried out therein.

  • Assist in working with overseas SBUs on action plans for external audit preparation.

Reporting:

  • Ensure monthly and other reporting deadlines are met for Jumeirah International

  • Review monthly departmental P&Ls, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and SOAs to ensure accurate billing and results for the entity.

  • Work closely with HODs to understand variances in results to budget and forecast, and to ensure monthly forecasts are updated appropriately.

  • Assist in liaison with external audit and government audit during planning phases.

  • Assist in Corporate Finance projects and technical matters resolution, as required.

Treasury & Insurance:

  • Assist Finance Manager in coordinating funding & insurance-related requests for Jumeirah International.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Big 4 Accounting firm background (preferred).

  • 2 years minimum of relevant experience (essential), including exposure to international companies (preferred).

  • Experience in coherently presenting issues concisely for other colleagues who have a non-finance

  • Qualified Chartered/Certified accountant (preferred)
