Purpose of Job

We now have an opportunity for an ambitious General operative with a technical bias at a client Data Centre in Dublin. This role offers huge development potential for any candidate wanting to work on the leading edge of the growing data centre industry. The General Operatives will report to the Soft Services Facilities Manager and will primarily work alongside the FM/AFM & FCs for the buildings across the Campus. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all soft services responsibly areas with specific responsibility in relation to the maintenance and upkeep of the doors/ironmongery across the campus.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· Experience working in the facilities/maintenance field, Data center experience would be an advantage for this role.

· Good working knowledge and/or experience of building services are an advantage.

· An understanding of electrical awareness and hazards and the risks around electrical equipment is preferred.

· Must be able to work on ladder or scaffold at various heights and within company H&S guidelines. Bending and lifting required.

· Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with the client, with team members and with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work in the data centre.

· Computer literate with the ability to compile and submit weekly, monthly, and annual reports, and to monitor and trend operational and contractor characteristics (spare parts usage and change-out tracking, contractor PM duration time etc.).

· Strong and committed team player with excellent communication skills. Previous experience of supervising or monitoring contractors and reporting to peers an advantage.

· Willingness to work outside of normal hours to complete planned works on schedule.

· The ability to learn quickly and to gain maximum benefit from extensive training and development programs aimed at ensuring that any identified knowledge or experience deficiencies are addressed in the short term.

Responsibilities

· Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and basic repairs to buildings doors/ironmongery across the campus under the approval and supervision of the Site FM/AFM/FC

· Drive and operate general and specialist company lifting equipment mainly consisting of scissors operated MEWP’s and motorised pallet trucks.

· Work closely with the FM/AFM/FCs to ensure maximum efficiency by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing All Industrial/Pedestrian /Automatic/Doors Including Fire /rapid roll doors, Loading doors, Wheel chocks,

· Perform various types of general building maintenance and repairs where applicable and fall under Soft Services remit.

· Ability to handle multiple complex tasks with minimal supervision while also adhering to the policies and procedures and Owner objectives.

· Maintain positive image CBRE and said property, at all times in the community. Strive to attend and participate in outside or in-house activities, meetings, and organizations as approved or directed by the Facilities Manager to enhance this image.

· Assist in the coordination of maintenance programs relating to the interior and exterior of the property as well as fire, life, safety, and other safety programs for assigned property.

· Perform regular “sweeps” of the workspace(s) to identify.

areas/items/equipment/materials in need of repair, replacement, or upgrade. Report all issues to the FM, AFM/FC, As required.

· Develop and keep up to date all site procedures including EOPs, SOPs, MOPs, O&M, and APs. All documentation should be consistent with current client standards.

· Report health and safety breaches through the ‘Enablon App’ process.

· Adherence to all quality, health & safety, and environmental policies within the Data Centre domain.
