Visit our website to learn more: www.weg.net About the role: WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Target Market Group Manager to join our team in Duluth, GA. This role develops and leads a team to expand the WEG Target Market - OEM segments. This position will be focused on the development of strategic vertical market segments by creating business plans, focusing on the direct pursuit of key target OEM accounts. Segment plans will address sales pursuits, quotation, designs, and aftermarket support. Responsibilities will include leading a team of internal and external resources, as well as direct account responsibility. Regular travel is \>50%. Primary Responsibilities: * Meet or exceed financial goals for vertical market segments. * Identify and prioritize the pursuit of strategic target market segments. * Create a list of key target accounts within each vertical market segment for direct pursuit with the Custom Solutions team. * Lead and direct business development with primary strategic accounts within each segment. * Take direct responsibility for new target market segments to grow OEM business to a financial level that additional segment managers can be developed and take over. * Lead the development of solution sets and value proposition to uniquely position the company for success. * Develop marketing materials and plan to expand market penetration to the broader market within each vertical with the general sales team. * Develop customer focused business tools and processes to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, and scalability of the business. * Recommend and implement changes to products or processes that would improve cost, delivery, and quality for the customer. * Conduct market research, and identifies and tracks market trends in the industry along with product development recommendations for growing market share. * Interface with other groups as necessary including; Customer Service, Engineering, Technical Support, External Partners, Sales, and other WEG Business Units. * Must have strong communications skills to effectively communicate with customers, sales reps, application engineers, product engineering, manufacturing, and other inside support staff. * Lead the development of materials and programs for training sales teams, product support teams and customers. * Responsible for hiring, training and motivating staff in areas of responsibility. Implements and/or performs disciplinary action, recommends staffing changes and administers timely performance reviews. * Other duties and tasks as assigned. Education: * Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience. Knowledge / training: * Demonstrate the ability to analyze an industry segment, define key customers, understand solutions required, and lead the development solution specification. * Understand business implications of decisions * Display passion and optimism. * Display orientation to profitability. * Customer Facing experience and a desire to solve problems. * Strong Written and Verbal communication skills. * Technical experience and knowledge of UL control panels including Drive and Softstart products required * Experience in engineering, project management, or account management; * Proficiency
