SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE - International Technology Company in Duluth

My client, an international technology company in Duluth, is seeking a diligent Senior Accountant with strong Accounts Receivable experience to join their team in Duluth, Georgia. The role involves handling various accounting responsibilities but will be focused on accounting associated with billing and accounts receivable. Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate customer and company financial records

• Oversee weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly billing processes

• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies

• Regularly review accounts receivable aging to ensure compliance

• Effectively manage accounts receivable aging

• Communicate with customers through various channels like phone, email, mail, or in-person meetings

• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities

• Execute Accounts Receivable month-end closing and Revenue accruals

• Conduct semi-annual and annual audits for accounts receivable

• Assist with ad hoc projects including research, spreadsheets, analysis, and implementation of improved procedures/solutions

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations for revenue accounts

• Oversee general ledger accounting, including preparation of journal entries

• Assist with month-end closing and year-end audit and interim review activities to ensure accurate and timely accounting entries

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting.

• Experience using Hyperion and SAGE is highly desirable.

• Strong knowledge of Excel.

• Experience with annual, quarterly, and monthly financial reporting to management.

• Thorough knowledge of accounting, financial concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Energetic, flexible, forward-thinking, and self-directed with a professional image and reputation.

• Strong technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and operational focus.

• Strategic planner and collaborator.

• Proficient in database and accounting computer applications to provide accurate, timely financial information.

• Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
