The employee provides administrative support for 2 theatre major programs and 3 minor programs and 15 faculty in the department. The pay rate for this position starts at $20.86/hr. This position is 30 hrs./week; the schedule is M-TH 8:30-4:30 with some flexibility. Departmental contact person and student/faculty/staff support (75%) Serve as a receptionist for students, patrons and visitors. Acquire keys for faculty, staff and student employees. Coordinate prospective student family visits. Receive and organize faculty/staff mail and packages, including mailbox assignments for new hires. Order office supplies. Monitor Department copier. Record minutes for Department Meetings. Facilitate faculty advisement hold releases. Assist CAHSS Scholarship Administrator with Theatre-specific questions, as needed Organize/print Senior recognition certificates. Organize Degrees with Distinction and Commencement program information. Facilitate Spring Banquet reservations. Facilitate Theatre and Dance course evaluations. Coordinate Department Head calendar. Assign and label student mailboxes in the greenroom Call in work order requests to FM Support operation of external Theatre programming Supervise department work study students Input and maintain class schedules (20%) Assist Department Head in planning academic class schedules. Enter scheduling information in PeopleSoft per deadlines. Running class schedule summary reports before each semester to make sure assignments, classrooms, offer times etc. are all correct. Check for duplicates. Request changes as needed with the Office of the Registrar and communicate with students/instructors Assist with maintenance and distribution of room schedule sheets within MPAC Collect digital copies of Theatre and Dance course syllabi Keep records of syllabi for each course on google drive and make accessible for all in department. Additional Duties (5%) as assigned Qualifications Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED and two years of related office and administration experience. Training/education may be substituted for some of the years of experience. Computer experience required.
