Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Security Dispatcher in Durant, Oklahoma
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls for Tribal Security and Tribal EMS. You will report to the Dispatch Supervisor.
Primary Tasks:
You will use a computer aided dispatch system, receives and log calls for service, determine priorities, and dispatches necessary Security or on-site EMS units following established procedures.
Maintain contact with all units on duty; maintain status and location of Security and EMS Units.
Assist the Supervisor in training, direction, and evaluation of the activities of trainees.
Answer non-emergency calls for assistance.
Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Have or can maintain certification
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and time management skills.
Communicate with groups and individuals both orally and in writing.
Must have knowledge of and ability to work with appropriate hardware and software.
Previous dispatch experience preferred but not required
