Job Summary
In this role, you will display the strong time-management and discipline needed as a busser/food runner/barback to become a jack-of-all trades, all while effortlessly providing guests with outstanding service. Your conscientious attention to detail, consistency and ability to establish and uphold the highest standards – from allday to Patio – constantly seek to “wow” guests at Durham’s newest lifestyle hotel in the heart of downtown.
Duties & Responsibilities
Check server and bar areas for ice and glassware levels and restock as needed
Assist bartenders in cutting fruit
Assist bartenders in restocking bar items as needed
Communicate with servers/bartenders and line cooks regarding questions or issues with food tickets
Run food to guests in a timely manner, ensuring that temperature and food quality is upheld
Bus tables and maintain cleanliness of guest areas
Remove bus tubs/carts from bar and server station to dish area when full
Assist in washing dishes as needed
Be friendly, helpful and ensure guest satisfaction
Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks
Alert manager/supervisor of any guest dissatisfaction
Carry out any reasonably assigned task as requested by the GM, F&B Manager, Culinary Manager or F&B Supervisor

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
A high school diploma and 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Prior experience required, lifestyle/boutique hotel experience preferred. High school degree preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Housekeeping duties include frequent bending and other repetitive body movements.
