We are currently looking for a Sr. NGS Applications Specialist .

Responsibilities

  • Answer and troubleshoot complex customer inquiries received by phone and email.

  • Provide technical recommendations to customers aimed at improving their experience using IDT’s products and services.

  • Assist customers with designing oligos and assays used in various applications.

  • Utilize sales and manufacturing databases for all IDT locations in order to track orders, download quality control documents and review oligo manufacturing history, for troubleshooting purposes.

  • Resolve complaints by determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem and expediting resolution to the customer’s satisfaction.

  • Handle BVBA and INC manufactured Best Efforts.

  • Assist EMEA customers with Synthetic Biology related enquiries, including but not limited to, generating quotes, processing orders, lab requested cancelations and Best Efforts etc.

  • Develop and deliver technical training for IDT products and end-use.

  • Maintain a permanent collaboration with relevant groups within the organization (SBS, SAS, manufacturing etc.).

  • Document all incoming and outgoing customer interactions in IDT’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Be aware of IDT’s policy on and contribute to quality and environmental management by adhering to the requirements of the ISO 9001, 13485 and 14001 standards and internal procedures and work instructions.

Job Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in molecular biology or related science field.

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Other languages preferred.

  • Must be able to keep key personnel informed and up-to-date of imminent issues.

  • Must be able to search current scientific literature for potential relevant methods and techniques to acquire necessary information to influence the group’s development.

  • Must be highly organized and able to multi task.

  • Must be able to interact in a professional manner with customers, employees and all levels of management.

  • Must have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel-Word-PowerPoint).

  • Must be able to work over 40 hours per week, if required.
