Mondelēz International is looking for a strategic leader to shape & transform its commercial master data solutions and processes. In this role, you will have the opportunity to transform how Mondelez’s commercial master data is managed and governed to accelerate Mondelēz’s AI, commercial reporting and advance analytics objectives. You will be expected to partner with cross-functional business teams to understand data needs and work with enterprise master data and the IT organization to deliver scalable and re-usable data products. You will own, shape, and prioritize the product roadmap for commercial master data in daily operations.

* Role would be a hybrid setting of 1-3 days in our East Hanover, New Jersey office**

WHAT THIS TEAM AND ROLE DOES

Our team is at the forefront of driving AI, data, and analytics across US Sales & Planning. As a Product Owner leading commercial master data you will oversee the team as they work towards the following objectives:

  • Enable the AI native transformation for the Sales & Planning function through highly maintained data products.

  • Democratize access to highly curated and good quality data products, scaling data usage across BI/Analytics team, customer teams, RGM teams, and senior executives.

  • You'll be required to uncover customer requirements and spark creative solutions in response to industry trends, emerging technologies, and insights.

  • You’ll lead a team that translates vision into strategic product roadmaps with an agile delivery approach in partnership with Mondelēz technology team.

  • You’ll be the leader to develop commercial master data vision for our organization to deliver capabilities that empower differentiated analytics & insights and enable breakthrough business impact.

  • You’ll partner with technology leaders to influence end-state data architecture and drive secure, automated, scalable, and trusted data products that solve material customer and business problems.

  • You’ll influence a broad set of senior executives across the enterprise and your organization who are stakeholders or delivery partner to successfully deliver on your data vision.

  • You’ll establish a long-term product portfolio strategy, informed by business needs, to gain alignment, secure resources and overcome impediments.

  • You’ll attract, grow, empower, and inspire top data talent as they develop and deliver on the data strategy.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive data product roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and incorporating feedback from various stakeholders.

  • Work closely with business users, data scientists, and engineers to understand data-related requirements and translate them into actionable data product features.

  • Analyze data sets to identify insights, trends, and opportunities that can be leveraged to enhance the data product offering. While overseeing data collection, storage, and quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and security.

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of data products and drive continuous improvement efforts.

  • Partner with the data governance team (and data steward) to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and maintain data integrity, security, and confidentiality.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities with excellent attention to detail.

  • Collaborate with data owners to ensure reliable, accessible, high-fidelity information within our tools, driving requirements through a focus on business needs.

  • Sign off the final user acceptance testing of new features and functions and manage communication of product releases to external and internal stakeholders.

SPECIFIC SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of proven experience in data product management, master data management, preferably in commercial roles and/or CPG industries.

  • Working knowledge of product and customer master data and commercial hierarchies.

  • Strong understanding of data technologies, such as databases, data warehouses, data lakes and analytics tools

  • SQL experience required

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within defined timelines.

  • Eagerness to constantly seek improvements in the tech stack, data practices, and data solutions.

  • Strong leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributor

  • Strong communication skills with comfort in speaking with business stakeholders.

GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Understanding industry-specific external data sources used to measure and track performance (e.g., Nielsen).

  • Familiar with agile methodologies (e.g., ceremonies, writing user stories).

  • Understanding of the consumer goods industry or similar industries.

  • Experience developing data visualization tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Power BI

  • Experience with data governance, privacy regulations, and best practices is a plus.

  • Big data experience leveraging Spark or Hadoop technologies within a cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud – Big Query, etc.)

  • Experience working with Jira is a plus.
