Description
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist! This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity where you will handle various HR functions including employee relations, new hires, terminations, and HRIS database management.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the open enrollment process ensuring all employees are informed, and their selections are accurately captured.
• Manage employee relations, acting as a point of contact for any concerns or grievances and making sure they are handled professionally and promptly.
• Facilitate the hiring process, from posting job advertisements to onboarding new employees.
• Handle terminations effectively, ensuring all processes comply with company policies and legal requirements.
• Provide day-to-day HR support, addressing any issues or requests that arise in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain and update HRIS - Human Resources Information Systems, ensuring all employee data is accurate and up to date.
• Manage HRIS reporting, generating valuable insights to assist in decision making.
• Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring new hires are given the necessary training and resources to perform their roles.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to HR functions.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze HR related data.
Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role within Human Resources.
• Proven experience with Benefit Functions, Employee Relations, and Hiring Processes.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with all levels of the company.
• Must have a solid understanding and experience with HR Compliance and laws.
• Experience with handling Terminations and Onboarding processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Must have experience with Open Enrollment processes.
• Knowledge of HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems and HRIS reporting is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize important projects.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
