Position Summary As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will support the manufacturing of medical device capital equipment. This is a hands-on engineering position reporting to our Production Supervisor. Through manufacturing support, you will investigate production failures, work with cross functional teams to implement lean processes and assembly tools to improve efficiency. Projects and day-to-day responsibilities will focus on: Monitoring operations with an eye toward improving productivity and efficiency. Designing efficient production processes and workflows. Ensuring that processes are designed to ensure that products meet quality standards. Reducing waste and addressing production issues. Reviewing production schedules, processes, and specifications. Evaluating data to implement technological improvements in production processes. Implementing controls to monitor costs and minimize production issues. Identifying potential locations and determining facility design. Working with other departments to develop and design production standards. Designing facility layout and personnel requirements in relation to production operations. Helping develop instruction manuals for production personnel. Ensuring that work processes are safe and addresses safety issues and concerns. Generating process documentation and reports. While working at Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT) Students will be exposed to working with various operations and product development within the Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT) organization. They will learn key requirements that need to be followed in a regulated environment such as the medical device industry. Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): Qualifications Undergraduate students enrolled in a manufacturing, industrial, electrical, mechanical, systems, or biomedical engineering four-year degree program entering their third year.
