POSITION SUMMARY:

Plan the practices of manufacturing and develop tools, processes, and equipment to increase productivity and reduce operational cost through reengineering of the manufacturing processes.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Conducting time studies and “line balance” assembly production lines.

  • Analyzing manufacturing processes using industrial engineering tools and techniques.

  • Conducting different industrial engineering studies and analysis such as manpower forecasts, capacity analysis, resource leveling, etc.

  • Assisting in the implementation and utilization of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodologies.

  • Studying and analyzing variation in critical manufacturing processes.

  • Assisting in new model integration activities.

  • Implementing new technology and equipment into manufacturing process.

  • Assisting with MES software development and serving implementation administrator.

  • Developing labor estimates for new product development.

  • Data collection and analysis for the purpose of further refining labor estimates.

  • Performing related assignments as required.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

Education:

Must possess a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical).

Experience:

  • Must have 5 or more years of experience utilizing industrial engineering tools and methods for a manufacturing environment.

  • Previous experience in auto/marine manufacturing helpful.

  • Must have working knowledge of Word, Excel, and AutoCad.

  • Working knowledge of Visio and Unigraphics a plus.

  • Proficiency in MS Project, Power BI, and Access preferred.

  • Simulation experience is desired.

  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge or experience is strongly desired.
