Be registered full-time for the respective semester – nine (9) semester credit hours during the fall semester, nine (9) semester credit hours during the spring semester, or three (3) semester credit hours during the summer session or be registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements of the degree plan.

Scope of Job

Graduate Assistant Instructor will be the Instructor of Record and

responsible for teaching the courses assigned by the department

graduate coordinator. Examples of classes include ENGL 1305 and ENGL 2341.

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications

The Graduate Assistant Instructor position is available to full-time graduate students with 18 hours of graduate English coursework prior to Fall 2024.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to students in the MA English program on the Literatures & Cultural Studies track. GTA or GA experience preferred.
