Description A member of the health care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse provides efficient operation of a nursing unit by taking responsibility for the clerical functions and heart rhythm monitoring of patients. Coursework/Training Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Interpretation class with a score of at least 80% on final exam. Coursework/Training Individuals hired with previous monitor technician experience must pass a challenge exam with a score of 80% Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications: Recent experience in an acute care facility or related work experience.
