Overview:

The El Paso Refinery, in El Paso, TX, is seeking a Routine Maintenance Planner. This position is responsible for converting work requests to work orders, developing job plans, ordering material and or equipment to effectively execute the routine maintenance work in a safe and economical manner. The Planner coordinates between Operations and Scheduling to effectively execute the work.

Responsibilities:

• Develop quality job plans for routine, major maintenance, PMs, PdM, unit outages, programs, etc., including job scope packages. Plans will address the following needs:

• Special tooling

• Abatement requirements

• Specialty crafts

• Contractor crafts

• Materials

• Develop plans that clearly show special instruction and required documentation such as MOC information, QA/QC needs, P&ID's, spec sheets, required skill crafts and duration, specialty tools, and equipment.

• Perform walk downs on all jobs for scoping and planning including climbing stairs and ladders to reach refinery equipment at heights.

• Conduct backlog review sessions with Operations and keep the backlog updated.

• Ensure compliance driven scopes are given a high priority (i.e. - safety, environmental, etc.).

• Requisition material and monitor progress to ensure delivery requirements are met.

• Ensure that Major Maintenance budget items are planned with proper revision coding and support budget spend forecasts.

• Ensure that routine maintenance programs are developed, planned and ready for on time/budget execution.

• Develop job plans, packages and execution schedule for routine unit outages.

• Confirm planning priorities align with the priorities of the Area Teams.

• Update completed job plans so they can be used on similar scopes.

• Maintain less than 15% unplanned backlog in assigned area.

• Monitor spare parts requirements for critical equipment, develop BOMs and request spares as required.

• Support emergencies on off hours including weekends; assigned to be on the call-out list periodically as required.

• Exhibit excellent communication skills to maintain job priorities and material status with Maintenance Foreman and Operations.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma (required)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in refinery maintenance (highly preferred)

Skills:

• Directing maintenance work (highly preferred).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Prioritizing, planning and scheduling work with budget and cost control experience (highly preferred)

• Experience working with SAP (preferred)
