Summary: Responsible for learning the fundamentals of the HR department, supporting the day-to-day administrative tasks and activities and HR compliance. Training is conducted within a mentorship framework.This is a part-time role (less than 30 hours per week). Flex hours based on class schedule.
Responsibilities:include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Work with all HR team members to gain exposure to their area of expertise (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Benefits and Compliance).
- Conduct outside research focusing on benchmarking and pricing of specific positions.
- Create, review and edit job descriptions.
- Assist Talent Acquisition Specialist with job posting, updating and removing job postings.
- Assist in employee handbook review and revision.
- Research multi-state employment law compliance.
- Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping personnel data confidential.

Education/Experience:
- College student pursuing a career in Business major or related field.
- Minimum of one year of college completed.
- Some experience in an office environment preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to problem solve, prioritize tasks and meet required deadlines.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and communicate effectively and tactfully, orally and in writing.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to maintain a friendly, helpful and courteous attitude when working with others.
- Ability to use Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Outlook and Excel.
