Capex Engineering Manager – (Internal Level 4A)
Location – Moray House, Elgin
Permanent & Full Time – Open to Hybrid Working

About the role
This role is positioned in the Global Engineering team providing Capital Project Management (CapEx) services to Diageo production sites for Malt Distilling. The overall purpose of the CapEx team is to deliver the investment plan (Annual Operating Plan – AOP) for asset investments on an annual basis.
The role holder will lead a cross-functional capex team to deliver multi-year, multi-million pound investment projects across 35 sites in Scotland.
Use of specialist knowledge to deliver capex projects to technical specification.
Managing efficient spend for capex projects.
Co-ordinating and managing resources.
Line management and leadership of the multidiscipline project engineering team that supports the production sites.
Partnering with operations teams to deliver business goals.
Other key responsibilities will include:
Acting as an owner to gain best value for money whilst securing the most beneficial project outcomes
Influencing key stakeholders to make timely decisions to maximise value for the business
Effectively communicating project risks and opportunities
Working alongside the Site Leadership teams to support the delivery of the business plans
Working with the wider leadership team on improvement initiatives
Utilising external best practice to coach and support teams
The engineering hub for Malt Distilling is based in Elgin, however a mixture of hybrid working and attendance in Elgin as well as the wider site environment will be required. From Islay, Skye, Speyside and Edinburgh, we have sites across Scotland.
