Position Overview:
We have a full time Speech-Language Pathologist opening with our school partners in Elgin. This role is for a Speech Language Pathologist who is interested in supporting the high school population of students. The SLP will be responsible for providing push-in and pull-out services to a mild to moderate caseload under 50 students. In this community focused school, you will find that the teaching staff, administration, and families work collaboratively to achieve student success. Job Responsibilities:
Completes evaluations to assess speech needs and areas of growth
Provide services to a caseload under 50 students with mild/moderate eligibilities
Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to identified students with growth needs
Assist special education coordinators with developing student Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to meet the students' speech and/or language needs
Observe students and collect data to measure progress and adjust treatment plans
Facilitate staff and community training in the area of communication disorders
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Professional Educator License (PEL) eligible in the state of Illinois
Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License
