CTG is seeking to fill severalCustomer Service Representativecontract-to-hire openingsfor our client inAmherst, NY.

Location: Amherst, NY

Duration: Contract to hire

All work and training are currently remote due to Covid. The customer will supply the equipment needed to be successful. Work will return to onsite, so candidates must be local to Amherst.

Position Summary

The purpose of the Customer Service Specialist is to convert incoming customer calls into booked service calls and forward to available service technicians. It is the Customer Service Specialist’s duty to be able to equally divide incoming calls to be scheduled for home service technicians (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, home repair).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Handle a high volume of service calls in the home service industry

  • Follow company training to assure accurate dispatch of incoming calls

  • Update dispatching changes to provide the best possible customer service in a timely manner

  • Other various duties assigned

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 2 years’ experience working in call centers, customer service, and/or dispatch

  • Knowledge of home service industry, preferred

  • Think “outside the box” skills to help book calls

  • High degree of attention to detail and organization skills

  • Amazing attitude and customer service skills

  • High school diploma or GED

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group is required.
