The role

We operate on a product management operative model. We are looking for a senior business analyst to join our Financial Accounting product group, which includes the following products: General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Tax, Travel & Expenses, Workplace Solutions.

  • Each individual product owns several different applications. E.g. General Ledger product comprises Chart of Accounts, Journal Entries, Asset Accounting, Leasing Accounting, etc.

  • The product team comprises a range of IT professionals from Nestlé as well as our application management partners.

  • The team is working through a product model for existing applications (roadmap and backlog evolution) and through the classical IT delivery phases - from requirements gathering and blueprinting through design, build, test and deploy – for new applications.

  • Team has global scope and responsibility.

Requirement is for a strong Senior Business Analyst who can support the existing team to investigate, design and build or configure the different solutions.

In this position, you will serve as a liaison between the IS/IT & Business. As part of the Product Team, you bring deep understanding to the opportunities and issues facing your business function and advises on the best solutions. You further translate business strategies, opportunities, threats and needs into IS/IT product requirements, and plays a key role within the product team to specify, test and deploy those as IS/IT solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Support the Product Manager in the development of the strategy through incremental improvement of the product

  • Take ownership to define, drive and deliver the technology roadmap together with the business relationship manager, the solution architect, and the Business stakeholders for the area in scope.

  • Analyze, document and test program development, logic, process flows and specifications

  • Document training materials for the product area

  • Support the analysis and resolution of solution issues as part of the third level sustain

  • Design business scenarios and use cases for the product mix, including product introduction, specification and the change management required to maximize its adoption/value

  • Work with IS/IT Product Managers to define the minimum viable product (MVP) that satisfies the business need

  • Secure by early business feedback that the MVPs defined will really provide the desired value (MVP taste-testing)

  • Identify gaps in existing functionalities, options for improvement and opportunities for process automation

  • Responsible for identifying security & compliance requirements, including roles, associated with the business process and ensure they are considered in the solution design

  • Develop, motivate and direct staff belonging to various organizations (business and IS/IT) to understand the business needs and find the best solution that will both align with the customer objectives and the IS/IT strategy

  • Partner with business and IS/IT to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements, pain points or opportunities into IS/IT requirements

  • Work with business partners to conduct design, solutioning sessions, and MVP taste-testing all along the life cycle from business demand to value delivery

  • Work and collaborate with the IS/IT application management partners to deliver value to the business.

The role includes:

  • Attend meetings with IT teams and corporate or market teams

  • Interact with other IT functional teams and business teams

  • Interact with platform IT team and IT SAP architecture team

  • Investigate and propose options and solutions to address business requirements

  • Assess implications, changes, or impacts to the Nestle template

  • Document technical and functional requirements and solutions

  • Review Business Blueprint Documents

  • Perform, support and document testing activities

  • Assess change impacts from a system, business process and organizational point of view

  • Regularly update the product manager and the application owners.

  • Support cutover, go-live and hyper care activities.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Key to this role is a solid knowledge of basic Financial Accounting in an SAP context with focus on General Ledger, Asset Accounting Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, integration with Record to Report flow and other modules (Controlling, management accounting, Tax) and other End to Ends (Order to Cash, Source to Pay, Hire to Retire).

  • Expectation is 8 years+ working in Financial Accounting domain.

  • 5 years+ Multi geography, multi market implementations including a deployment component to business.

  • Consolidated experience working in a Corporate international complex environment.

  • Consolidated experience in greenfield implementations and designing solutions and applications.

  • Knowledge of SAP FICO S/4 Hana and/or Central Finance.

  • Highly developed in the key nestle Leadership Framework skills: result focus, proactive cooperation, and initiative.

  • Excellent communication skills in English
