Emerson Manufacturing Engineer Jr in ESTADO DE MEXICO, Mexico

• Design manufacturing process route for new products defining the machining sequence.

• Select the machine capable of manufacturing the product according to specifications.

• Define the ideal tools to ensure machining efficiency.

• Prepare CNC programs for machining and instructions to be followed by operators (Job Plan) on manual machines.

• Design a sketch of the new tools and devices and coordinate with the Sr. Industrial Engineer their final design for their subsequent manufacture.

• Select (if necessary) new tool and request registration for its acquisition.

• Follow up on the tryout, according to the procedure, making changes to the system until the process is validated.

• Deliver manufacturing information package to Product Engineer.

• Generate changes to route sheets if necessary.

• Adapt new tools, operation sheets, programs and instructions to the Engineering database.

• Monitor the process, making the necessary adjustments to the machine until the process is validated.

• Prepare relevant time and movement records.

• Verify the reliability of the programs and make changes in a timely manner.

• Carry out project in phases and deliver it in stages until its conclusion.

• Prepare lay-out when changing machinery is applied to validate space and flow.

• Send machines, tools and devices for repair if necessary.

• Follow up on the project until approval by the Production department.

• Responds to service requests prepared by Production, providing a timely response.

• Verifies the adequate solution of the problem through the operator and the production supervisor, closing the order.

• Provides time for definitive solution to the problem if required.

• Evaluate manufacturing processes seeking cost reduction through process improvements and reducing machining times and/or selecting new tools with higher performance.

• Improve machine efficiency by establishing typical tooling to reduce changes in the set up.

• Apply analysis and problem-solving techniques that affect the process/product in efficiency, scrap and rework indices, eliminating the root cause.

• Design work cells to improve material flow, using Lean Manufacturing concepts.

• Update the Datalink tool performance program with changes made to process improvements.

• Provide solutions to abnormalities in manufacturing processes reported by the production area.

• Train new operators in the operation of machinery, loading CNC programs, cutting conditions and adjustments in the set up.

• Train new operators in the processes used at Fisher such as turning, milling, honing, etc.

• Train new operators in the use of Engineering documentation for daily use in their work.

• Define alternative processes due to production needs due to overload, due to material needs to adapt raw materials, or any cause that requires modification to the definition of established manufacturing processes.

• Develop programs and apply deviations to the quality plan, filling out the corresponding documentation and following up until the first part is manufactured.

• Align with applicable ES&H procedures, as well as ISO procedures and standards established in the RIT & CCT.

• Participate in activities related to ES&H.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering Degree or similar

• English 405-600 TOEIC score

• Manufacturing processes, Lean Techniques, CNC equipment, tools.

• Microsoft office.
