Position Summary

The purpose of the Personnel and Administration Support Specialist is to assist the Human Resources Manager with a wide variety of administrative functions integral to accomplishing the delivery of human resource services. These functions include staff and student recruitment, employee relations, employee record retention, student payroll administration, and administrative support for day-to-day operations.

This position is responsible for communicating with students, faculty, staff, vendors, and job candidates in a professional manner. As this position works with employee records, a high level of confidentiality is required.

This is a 1.0 FTE position that reports to the Human Resources Manager.

Minimum Requirements

• Three years of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents; and

• Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education or knowledge of the university and its programs.

• Experience with enterprise-wide information systems (e.g. Banner) financial, payroll (e.g. UKG), and student modules.

• Experience with Travel and Financial Reimbursement software (e.g. Concur).

• Experience with MS Office Suite.

• Experience supporting human resources.
