Job Description Summary

This position is the for the Technical Talent Learning Leader role in GE Aerospace’s Manufacturing Enablement Team. This team sets the strategy for the development of manufacturing engineers throughout the supply chain, including the Manufacturing Engineering Development Program (MEDP), technical education for continuous learning, and knowledge management. This role is responsible for setting the strategy, developing and implementing GE Aerospace’s functional and technical education offerings for the manufacturing engineering community, and working with a variety of supply chain locations to ensure needs for that site are being met.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Talent Learning Leader will ensure transparent communication as the interface between the sites, HR and a variety of other stakeholders. They will demonstrate leadership and work to resolve unforeseen issues while achieving and maintaining business metrics/goals, commitments, project planning, and on time delivery to the customer.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with HR, global talent COE and other team members to ensure integration with the talent management processes

  • Identify opportunities to develop new offerings/opportunities to build capabilities and accelerate technical skillsets to meet the company’s manufacturing engineering needs.

  • Advance the learning function by providing a framework for design, delivery and assignment of learning opportunities for the Supply Chain technical community.

  • Lead the Manufacturing Engineering continuing education strategy

  • Lead program management of learning offerings as needed

  • Work with large supply chain sites around the world to ensure offerings are available locally where needed

  • Work across functions to evaluate proposed short-term and long-term projects

  • Provides effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, training processes, and cross-functional initiative coordination

  • Create and execute communication to customers and stakeholders (including a Tech Ed Digest)

  • Support the Manufacturing Enablement team initiatives to accelerate career navigation redevelopment and deployment

  • Holds self and others accountable for delivering efficient, quality products and business results.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university + minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering and / or Technical Learning Discipline

  • (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering and / or Technical Learning Discipline)
