Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will process requests for permanent and temporary quarters. You will compile data for reports on housing deficiencies requiring new construction, renovation, modernization, or other corrective improvements. You will conduct joint tenant-management inspections of quarters to evaluate the cleanliness, maintenance, and habitability of the unit, furnishings, equipment, and facilities. You will conduct follow-up inspections to verify that discrepancies are corrected. You will provide oversight to maintenance, property management, and service contacts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For the GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Provide guidance on housing policies, practices and procedures related to the housing program; 2) Represent management at resident functions to resolve routine resident complaints and disputes; and 3) Conduct special studies and/or audits to support budgetary data, maintenance and project improvement of occupancy activities to prepare recommendations to higher level housing personnel. *NOTE: This experience must be fully and clearly supported in your resume. For the GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Process and review customer's applications for accuracy and completeness; 2) Schedule, coordinate, and monitor activities related to the housing operation; and 3) Mediate and resolve a variety of minor operation problems. *NOTE: This experience must be fully and clearly supported in your resume. For the GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience, one year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Provide customer service related to daily business operations, preferably housing management; 2) Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software; and 3) Track problems and deficiencies within an operation, preferably housing. *NOTE: This experience must be fully and clearly supported in your resume. Education The following education may be substituted for Specialized Experience at the GS-05 level only: Successful completion of 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR A combination of education and experience that, when combined, equals one hundred percent. For the GS-07 level: Successful completion of one full year of graduate level education which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work OR A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience may be used to meet the specialized experience requirement for the GS-07. Additional Information This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Vacancies filled from this announcement may be filled at any grade level listed. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments. A 40 -hour work week is typical for this position. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. If selected below the full performance level, you may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. Work Environment Office work involves normal risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices and meeting and training rooms. The office work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Work also involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precautions, e.g., exposure to bodily wastes and unsanitary conditions. Employees may be required to wear protective gear including hard hats, boots, and coveralls while visiting housing units or facilities undergoing inspection, repair, maintenance, or renovations. Physical Demands Work alternates between sedentary work during which the employee may sit comfortably to do the work and also work requiring physical exertion. Physical exertion includes long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven or rocky terrain including construction sites; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, extensive stair climbing or similar activities; recurring lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 40 pounds; and driving an automobile. Must be able to travel outside the area by public transportation for training and certification.
