Robert Half Staff Accountant in Everett, Washington

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Non-Profit industry, located in Everett, Washington, 98203-3748, United States. The role entails processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Execute the reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts.

• Supervise and provide guidance to the accounting staff.

• Create and review journal entries and monthly accruals to ensure accuracy.

• Reconcile General Ledger accounts of affiliates with Parent and Intercompany transactions.

• Review exports of database information to Sage for consolidations.

• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations for all entities and prepare journal entries as needed.

• Review all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions to ensure compliance with agency budget.

• Assist with the annual audit process including preparing audit schedules and providing auditors with financial reporting and documentation of fiscal transactions.

• Use Sage Intacct software for various accounting operations.

• Apply skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, Audit Prep, Non-profit Accounting, and Sage Software. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role

• Extensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with General Ledger maintenance

• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Experience in Audit Preparation

• Knowledge of Non-profit Accounting principles and regulations

• Proficiency in using Sage Software for accounting tasks

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
