What you’ll do

The Material Buyer is part of the Material Planning team, within the S upply C hain D epartment and will participate to all activities related to procurement and stocks optimization :

• Review daily inventory reports and replenishment proposals from ERP system and decide whether to create, update or maintain call-offs and/or purchase orders to vendors across the world

• Chase call-off/purchase orders’ acknowledgement of receipt, confirmed delivery dates, and follow-up till reception at destination site.

• Track passed due and unconfirmed purchase orders according to our policies

• Generate and provide forecasts to suppliers based on ABC categories

• Prioritize and escalate delays, delivery issues, and be part of improvement activities, working in close collaboration with Sourcing

• Be a support in some exception processes, specific receiving activities Support inbound logistics with inbound discrepancies due to supplier’s misses

• Vendors’ invoice reviews and discrepancies management/resolution . Make sure PPV’s remain under strict control

• Track non-conform deliveries for resolution and support returns to suppliers and credit notes collection

• Lead or drive negotiations whenever required

• Inventory management, obso/aging, scrap, turns

• Update and maintain Item set-up and call-offs/POs in ERP system for better planning accuracy

• Be the guardant of data for supplier OTD measurement. Address OTD discrepancies and use DBS tools and Methodology to set continuous improvement actions

• Ensure you have a Plan For Every Part for all the range of items under your management

Support NPI’s projects, change controls, deviations, and phase in/phase out projects. Support specific strategic projects

• Be part of planning review and S&OP management

• Be agile with push and pull planning. Be able to back up a Material Planner on demand

• Be part of daily and weekly reviews, and Quality Business Reviews’ with Sourcing team

• Be an active member of our Quality Management System, support deviations, CAPA’s, Change Controls, DCC

• Use all set of KPI’s available to drive continuous improvement and meet voice of customer

• Review, maintain, create, improve Work Instructions related to your activity

  Who you are

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 2 years of experience in Manufacturing OR Purchasing/Planning).

• Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing.

• Master’s Degree preferred

• 3-5 years of proven experience in Materials Purchasing, Planning

• APICS Certification preferred

• Oracle knowledge (EBS and ASCP) and experience preferred

• Lean Manufacturing Experience preferred

• Medical Devices experience, ISO13485 is a plus

• Fluent in French and English

• Ability to work in autonomy, rigorous, logical, natural leader, oriented quality, problem solving and customer focus
