Sumaria Systems is seeking a Senior Acquisition Program Manager to assist the F-16 Program Office by providing advisory support for acquisition management, program planning and integration support of aircraft research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition and sustainment activities. Will work in the F16 USAF Development Branch at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

Successful candidate has a solid understanding of fighter weapons systems integration, operational employment and weapons capability; software and hardware development and integration development processes; USAF Major Command expertise, ideally at the Headquarters (HQ) USAF or HQ ACC level, as a background for understanding broad user war fighter requirements.

The successful candidate shall assist government program managers who are responsible for strategic planning and implementation, program planning and implementation, software and hardware integration, weapons integration, requirements assessment, and program evaluations on achieving cost, schedule, and performance parameters. Will work closely with engineering, software developers, schedulers, and test teams. Must be a someone who is capable of working independently as well as part of a team in a hybrid-work environment. Must be assertive, and organized with a proven track record of working on high-visibility, fst-paced programs. Responsibilities shall vary, including,

  • Investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate solutions for project / program efforts; provide expert-level issue resolution and recommendation support to achieve desired program outcomes to situations that may include, but not be limited to, the following functional areas: program management, logistics, maintenance, supply, FM, test, security management, information management, and contracting.
  • Must be able to effectively establish and maintain contacts between the program office, supporting Government offices, other contractors, and higher headquarters' mid-to upper-level staff in a hybrid-work environment using a wide variety of communication forums, including using MS Teams or other collaboration software tools.
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills to be able to effectively communicate in a hybrid-work environment with a wide audience of professionals, including program directors at executive levels within the Government and other contractor organizations.
  • Develop and deliver concise, coherent and high quality program status briefings, reports and milestone documentation to senior staff, senior leaders and stakeholders,.
  • The Contractor shall assist to apply broad user war fighter requirements and applying solutions through the acquisition process. The Contractor shall help define requirements with ACC and serve as key advisor to SPO leadership on mission critical capability trade off s.
  • Advise and assist the Government with complex program management tasks coordinating and managing multiple contracts identifying and confirming the annual funding requirements for those contracts. The Contractor shall assist with project cost estimates and have knowledge of the system engineering process and project CM requirements.

Recommended Skills/Education: Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA) / Master of Science (MS) and 15 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD OR, BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD OR, 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, eight of which must be in the DoD.

Education: Advanced Degree - Masters desired but will consider a Bachelors of Arts (BA)
