Aaron's Inc Delivery and Receiving Specialist in Fairburn, Georgia

Summary:

The Delivery & Receiving specialist is responsible for inventory management, including product placement, loading product for deliveries, and receiving product in from vendors or as customer returns. The Delivery & Receiving Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations as well as developing the product technician team to ensure service is exceeding customers’ expectations. The Delivery & Receiving Specialist will also assist in merchandise handling such as loading, securing, delivering, setting up, troubleshooting, and demonstrating products. This team member may occasionally review lease agreements with the customer during delivery. During all duties, the Delivery & Receiving Specialist will serve as an ambassador of Aaron’s with a goal of delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensures high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience

· Partners with product technicians to ensure efficient delivery of merchandise, including coaching and mentoring, and partnering with management regarding product tech performance.

· Partners with Store Manager to ensure warehouse inventory levels adhere to company guidelines and standards

· Verifies correct products and accessories for deliveries, returns, and from vendors

· Routes the daily delivery schedule and ensures it is followed by product technicians

· Assists with merchandise returns, including loading and servicing products in vehicle

· Conducts New deliveries, Service Calls, Returns, and Product Exchanges:

o Loads, secures, and protects product in delivery vehicle to avoid any damage during delivery

o Ensures all merchandise is clean and in good operating condition prior to delivery

o Offloads, installs, and demonstrates merchandise applying product and customer experience training to ensure an exceptional customer experience

o Confirms customer identification, collect payments, and obtain customer signature on lease agreements

o Cleans, certifies, and restores merchandise in the Quality Assurance Center for all items returned

· Reviews company marketing materials and available training resources regularly to stay up to date on product features and basic service procedures

· Conducts courtesy calls to all customers prior to delivery

· Protects company assets and maintains company confidentiality

· Maintains the store’s warehouse in a neat and orderly manner

· Operates delivery vehicles in a safe manner

· Documents all vehicle movement in accordance to company guidelines

· Conducts daily inspection of assigned delivery vehicle to ensure safety and maintenance guidelines are met

· Assists in field marketing programs as requested by store management including the distribution of company advertisements/flyers while out of the store

· Performs other reasonable duties requested by management

Education and Experience:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· 3 years of shipping/receiving or related logistics

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Strong organizational skills

· Able to work with all levels of management

· Strong technical skills or working knowledge of electronic products

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements:

· Position routinely requires lifting, loading and moving 50-300 pounds of merchandise with use of a dolly

· Position routinely requires bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time
