I.T. Infrastructure Modernization Manager

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Serving as the Program’s Technology Officer, the I.T. Infrastructure Modernization Manager p rovides oversight of all project aspects focusing on fulfilling business and technical performance, cost, and schedule objectives for delivering Enterprise IT innovation services, including managing a team of approximately 50-75 highly technical personnel.

  • Translating agency needs into actionable innovation opportunities and proactively identifying, analyzing, and leading implementation of new technology and processes.

  • Improving existing data center infrastructure(s) (Compute, Storage, Network and Cyber) with the goal of optimizing services, lowering costs, and preparing for migration to the cloud.

  • Working with multi-disciplinary teams to identify, assess, scale, and optimize solutions to meet the programs goals and objectives.

  • Delivering impactful innovation services that appropriately pair the right approaches and methods with project size to achieve high-quality outcomes at reasonable cost.

  • Responsible for continuous improvement and reporting on the impacts of innovation on customer experience.

  • Identifying and interpreting requirements for the design, development, and delivery of technical and service solutions.

  • Evaluating existing policies and practices related to the customer’s operations and provides recommendations for improved effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Developing solutions for specific issues or participates in project planning. Measures, evaluates, and assesses effectiveness of products and processes and develops new strategies to improve performance.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or equivalent combination of experience and certification.

  • 15 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years of experience managing teams that deliver compute, storage, network, and end user computing services

  • Prior experience managing the improvement of end user compute services, including implementing modernization of service delivery, to include implementing GitOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD, Agile and/or AI powered IT services.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience analyzing customer requirements and requirements development for Enterprise Infrastructure programs servicing 15,000+ users in multiple locations, with workload distributed in both on-premise and cloud environments.

  • Experience facilitating and successfully implementing digital innovation and transformational changes, preferably for large Federal Government agencies.

  • An ITIL 4 Foundation (or higher) certification is required (ITIL Managing Professional and/or Strategic Leader is a plus)

  • Professional, Expert or Technical Specialty level cloud certification is preferred.

  • PMP and Agile certifications are desired

  • Experience leading successful Enterprise IT Infrastructure improvement projects, using Agile methodologies, for large (over 10,000 end users across multiple locations), is required organizations, preferably for a federal agency.

  • Experience delivering emergent technologies to complex business solutions for stakeholders from multiple disciplines for compute, storage, network, and /or end user computing.

  • Security Clearance Level: The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet requirements for Public Trust access.

Location: Remote. Occasional Travel.
