Solutions Architect

Our work depends on Solutions Architect joining our Fed Civ Program Execution and Data Security Office. You will surveil, assess, and remediate performance across a diverse multi-billion-dollar portfolio of Federal Civilian government programs. You will help ensure performance on all Fed Civ complex programs meets or exceeds GDIT’s high standards of quality and value delivery to our customers. You will also be able to shape and participate in the development of program excellence material for inclusion in GDIT proposal efforts.

HOW A SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT :

  • Complex Program Surveillance – Monitor all GDIT available systems and resources to gain a clear picture of the status and quality of performance across the Fed Civ portfolio. Ensure emerging risks and challenges are identified, escalated, and remediated.

  • Technical Program Assessment – Perform scheduled in-depth technical performance assessments on selected high impact Fed Civ programs to validate technical performance meets or exceeds GDIT’s KPIs. Identify high risks and challenges to delivery of committed value to the missions of our clients.

  • Program Remediation Action Plans – Develop and lead Program technical performance remediation plans to result in return to Green on programs falling short of expectations.

  • Coordinate the engagement of technical experts from Fed Civ Sectors, CTO, and across GDIT to bring forward the expertise necessary to remediate difficult program technical challenges in a timely manner.

  • Work seamlessly across FedCiv EO, CTO and Growth to provide compelling, winning solutions to our clients from conception through Program execution.

  • Solutions Leadership and Collaboration – Engage with Fed Civ CTO and Growth teams to Identify solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyzes alternatives.

  • Collaboration and Partnership with Fed Civ CTO and Growth Teams

  • Analyze RFI and RFP requirements and develop responsive solutions including staffing and other costs, review solutions developed by others, present solutions to internal and external clients.

  • Develop and explain use-cases and work closely with capture and proposal teams.

  • Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and proposing changes and tailoring where needed.

  • Assess the system and business process architectures currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvements.

  • Ensure technical architecture teams deliver efficient and effective system solutions to support business goals and objectives.

  • Develop logical and physical architectures and designs. Candidate will author proposal materials including writing proposal sections and diagrams and review the work of others in this area

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain established service design procedure and process by applying process frameworks and methodologies.

  • Prepare and present test plan, technical presentations, and analyst briefings.

  • Identify customer requirements, analyze alternatives, and conduct product recommendations related to software, platform and network configurations.

  • Provide updates to stakeholders on project cost, schedule, and quality in comparison to stakeholder objectives.

  • May serve as a task or project leader. (Not a people manager)

Pursuit/Capture Leadership:

  • Participate in solution strategy throughout the Capture and Proposal lifecycle, from early Qualification through Proposal submission

  • Contribute to GDIT win strategies and lead the development of technical win themes and solution readiness plans

  • Engage current and prospective customers to understand critical needs, socialize and vet solutions, and advise on strategies to shape acquisitions that achieve desired results

  • Identify and select the best technical solutions and approaches to meet anticipated or actual acquisition requirements.

  • Participate in solution design and the development of key artifacts including, but not limited to architectural models, process diagrams, concepts of operation, staffing plans etc.

  • Develop unsolicited technical recommendations, collateral and RFI/SSN responses to engage prospective customers and position GDIT to win

  • Collaborate with GDIT technical service areas and lines of business to identify and bring the best technical and business strategies and solutions to differentiate GDIT

  • Contribute to teaming strategies including identifying and vetting potential partners

  • Review and weigh in on cost strategies, LOEs/BOEs/BOMs, and associated rationale for viability and executability.

  • Review proposals and provide valueble feedback needed to strengthen our solution and proposals and execution readiness.

  • Author Technical volume introductions, key sections and orals slides including developing compelling graphics

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field with 20+ years of IT experience. In lieu of degree, 24+ years of IT experience required.

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Experience successfully architecting technical solutions and leading and supporting complex capture pursuits and proposals. Demonstrated Successful Program Execution Assessment and Remediation experience. Leadership experience in the assessment of complex technical Program status, and proven ability to create and lead program remediation plans resulting in return to Green.

  • Preferred Skills and Abilities: Experience providing cybersecurity solutions to federal customers. Experience with technical leadership and project management Demonstrated experience and understanding in supporting the lifecycle of solution architecture for large complex deals (i.e. 250m+). Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment. Ability to motivate teams to perform exceptionally over long stretches of time (during capture) and in challenging situations (during proposal development). Ability to effectively engage current and prospective customers to build trust and relationships, clearly communicate solutions and concepts, and influence action. Ability to write exceptionally and to create compliant and compelling narrative that best presents GDIT’s solutions and approaches within the government’s requirements and evaluation criteria. Ability to conceptualize and communicate or develop rich graphic visuals that help to strengthen the GDIT story and clearly and effectively communicate concepts and approaches.

  • Location: Position allows to be remote with up to 10% travel to support specific program support activities.

  • Security Clearance Level: None required, but must be able to obtain agency clearance as needed
