Description We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Credit Clerk to join our team located in Fairfield, California. This role falls within the construction industry and involves a strong focus on bookkeeping tasks. The Credit Clerk will be responsible for maintaining and processing customer credit applications, data entry, reconciliations, and invoice management. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records

• Resolve customer credit inquiries and issues effectively

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly and take necessary actions to collect delinquent payments

• Perform data entry tasks as required, ensuring data accuracy and integrity

• Conduct regular reconciliations and journal entries

• Manage the preparation and issuance of invoices for customers

• Generate and pull reports as required, providing insights into customer credit standings

• Utilize accounting software, specifically QuickBooks, to streamline bookkeeping tasks

• Conduct month-end close activities and payroll tasks as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations

• Strong Bookkeeping skills

• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks accurately

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of Payroll processing

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
